Baik Life — Terms & Conditions, Risk Acknowledgement & Participant Waiver
By booking, paying for, signing, or participating in any Baik Life activity, I confirm that I have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms & Conditions, Risk Acknowledgement & Participant Waiver.
“Baik Life” refers to Baik Life, its owners, directors, staff, guides, instructors, drivers, agents, partners, contractors, suppliers, and anyone involved in organizing or delivering the activity.
1. Acceptance of Risk
I understand that dirtbike riding, off-road riding, trail riding, adventure riding, motorcycle riding, transportation, training sessions, photoshoots, and related activities involve inherent risks.
These risks include, but are not limited to: falls, crashes, collisions, traffic, road hazards, uneven or slippery terrain, sand, mud, rocks, water, weather changes, reduced visibility, mechanical failure, equipment issues, physical exhaustion, mistakes by myself or others, injury, illness, permanent disability, death, property damage, third-party damage, and loss of personal belongings.
I understand these risks cannot be fully eliminated, even when safety precautions are taken. I voluntarily choose to participate and accept the risks connected to the activity.
2. Personal Responsibility & Safety
I am responsible for my own actions, decisions, riding behavior, speed, braking, distance from others, safety, health, belongings, and personal property.
I agree to ride within my own ability, follow all guide instructions, wear required protective gear, respect local communities and nature, and avoid reckless, unsafe, aggressive, or unlawful behavior.
If I feel unsafe, tired, injured, uncomfortable, or unable to continue for any reason, I understand it is my own responsibility to stop safely and immediately inform the guide or Baik Life team.
Baik Life may refuse, stop, cancel, reroute, shorten, downgrade, or remove me from the activity without refund if Baik Life believes my skill level, behavior, physical condition, mental condition, documentation, attitude, motorcycle, weather, route, or other conditions are unsafe or unsuitable.
3. Route Options, Road Sections & Weather
Baik Life may offer different route options depending on rider skill, weather, terrain, operational conditions, motorcycle availability, and guide judgment.
Some riders may choose an optional longer connected route. This route may include short paved-road, shared-road, or public-road sections to connect different trails, off-road areas, beach areas, forest areas, parking areas, or riding locations. These sections are used to connect riding areas and are not the main purpose of the experience.
By choosing or participating in a route with paved/shared/public-road sections, I confirm that I understand and accept the additional risks and responsibilities. I understand that valid riding documents and a road-registered motorcycle may be legally required for paved/public-road sections, and that some off-road/sports dirtbikes may not be road-registered or suitable for public-road use.
If I do not want to ride, cross, or continue on any road section, terrain, weather condition, or part of the ride, I understand it is my own responsibility to stop safely and immediately inform the guide or Baik Life team.
Tours may continue in light or normal rain if Baik Life considers conditions safe. Rain, mud, wet terrain, reduced visibility, slippery surfaces, puddles, changing grip levels, and changing weather are part of outdoor off-road/adventure riding.
Baik Life may cancel, delay, reroute, shorten, pause, stop, or reschedule a tour due to severe weather, unsafe terrain, flooding, lightning, poor visibility, or other unsafe conditions. If Baik Life cancels before the start for weather or safety reasons, I may receive a rescheduled ride or refund. If conditions change after the tour has started, refunds are not guaranteed and are handled at Baik Life’s discretion.
4. Third-Party Damage, Bike Damage & Costs
I accept responsibility for any fines, penalties, police actions, denied insurance claims, legal consequences, damage, injury, loss, compensation claims, repair costs, medical costs, ceremony-related costs, or other costs caused by my own unsafe riding, unlawful riding, negligence, intoxication, lack of valid riding documents, failure to stop when I feel uncomfortable, or failure to follow guide instructions.
This includes damage, injury, loss, disturbance, claims, or costs involving third parties such as local residents, pedestrians, road users, other riders, vehicles, animals, landowners, farmers, businesses, ceremonies, temples, private property, public property, roads, beaches, forests, crops, buildings, and nature.
Baik Life may assist with communication where appropriate, but Baik Life is not responsible for paying, advancing, lending, guaranteeing, or covering costs caused by my own actions, negligence, unlawful behavior, or failure to follow instructions.
If Baik Life pays or advances any amount to resolve, reduce, or manage third-party damage, claims, penalties, bike damage, equipment damage, or other costs caused by me, I agree to reimburse Baik Life in full.
Normal wear and tear is expected during off-road riding. However, I may be charged for motorcycle, gear, or equipment damage caused by reckless riding, ignoring instructions, riding beyond my ability, intentional damage, wheelies, burnouts, deep water submersion, saltwater exposure where instructed to avoid it, misuse, negligence, or other prohibited behavior.
5. Health, Fitness, Sobriety & Insurance
I confirm that I am physically and mentally fit to participate and that I do not have any medical condition, injury, illness, disability, medication use, or limitation that would make participation unsafe for myself or others. I agree to inform Baik Life before the activity of any relevant medical condition, injury, allergy, medication use, or limitation.
I must not participate while under the influence of alcohol, drugs, or any substance that may affect judgment, reaction time, balance, or riding ability.
Baik Life does not provide personal accident, travel, medical, health, evacuation, motorcycle, third-party liability, or personal property insurance for participants.
I am responsible for arranging suitable insurance that covers motorcycle riding, off-road riding, dirtbike riding, adventure activities, medical treatment, emergency transport, evacuation, personal accident, and personal liability where available. I understand some insurance policies exclude off-road riding, public-road riding, riding without required documents, non-road-registered motorcycles, or certain motorcycle activities.
If I do not have suitable insurance, I confirm that I am financially able to cover any medical, transport, evacuation, repair, third-party, legal, or related costs myself. Baik Life cannot cover, advance, lend, or guarantee payment for these costs.
6. Cancellation, Rescheduling & Late Arrival
A booking is confirmed only after payment or deposit has been received and confirmed by Baik Life. By making payment, I confirm that I accept these Terms & Conditions.
Cancellations or rescheduling requests made more than 48 hours before the scheduled start may be refunded as booking credit or rescheduled, subject to availability. Cancellations within 48 hours are non-refundable. No-shows are non-refundable.
If I arrive late, Baik Life may shorten the riding time, adjust the route, or cancel the ride without refund. If I am removed due to unsafe behavior, intoxication, lack of fitness, lack of cooperation, or failure to follow instructions, no refund will be provided.
7. Photos, Videos & Personal Belongings
Photos and videos may be created before, during, and after Baik Life activities. I agree that Baik Life may create, store, edit, publish, and use content that includes me, my group, my voice, my motorcycle, my riding, and my participation for social media, website, advertising, promotion, commercial use, brand content, internal training, rider memories, and marketing campaigns.
All content created by Baik Life, its team, guides, photographers, videographers, or partners is owned by Baik Life unless agreed otherwise in writing. If I do not want to appear in promotional content, I must inform Baik Life in writing before the activity starts.
I am responsible for my own belongings. Baik Life is not responsible for lost, stolen, damaged, wet, dirty, or broken personal items.
8. Medical Assistance & Limitation of Liability
Baik Life guides may assist in emergency situations where reasonably possible, including helping locate medical care, contacting emergency services, arranging transport, or helping me reach a medical facility. Baik Life is not a medical provider and cannot guarantee the availability, speed, quality, or outcome of medical care, emergency response, hospitals, transport, or third-party services.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, I release Baik Life, its owners, directors, staff, guides, instructors, drivers, agents, partners, contractors, suppliers, and affiliated persons from liability for injury, illness, death, property damage, third-party damage, loss, delay, cancellation, cost, or expense arising from or connected to my participation.
This includes risks connected to riding, transport, weather, terrain, road conditions, mechanical issues, third parties, personal negligence, unlawful riding, or failure to follow instructions.
This release does not apply to liability that cannot legally be excluded, including liability caused by gross negligence, intentional misconduct, or any other liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law.
Nothing in this document is intended to exclude, limit, or transfer liability where this is not allowed under applicable law.
9. Governing Law
These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of the Republic of Indonesia. Any dispute, claim, or issue arising from or connected to these Terms & Conditions or participation in Baik Life activities shall be handled in accordance with applicable Indonesian law.
10. Participant Declaration & Signature
By booking, paying, signing, or participating, I confirm that:
- I have read and understood this document;
- I understand that dirtbike riding and related activities involve risk;
- I voluntarily choose to participate;
- I accept personal responsibility for my own actions, safety, riding behavior, legal riding documents, belongings, and costs caused by my own actions;
- I understand that if I feel uncomfortable with any road section, terrain, weather condition, or part of the ride, it is my responsibility to stop safely and inform the guide immediately;
- I had the opportunity to ask questions before participating;
- all information provided by me is true and correct.
